# 02 / product fit

Choose the right layer. Keep what already works.

Search, recommendations, ad serving, and surface ranking solve different problems. Compare the responsibility you want to change before comparing vendors.

search and retrieval

Need to find eligible items across your catalog? Keep search or candidate generation upstream. Gortex starts with the candidates you supply.

learned recommendations

Need models that discover user-item preferences from interaction history? Evaluate recommendation services for that requirement. Gortex's current scoring is not a replacement for trained recommendation models.

ranking and monetization

Already have eligible items? Evaluate Gortex to order them per recipient, resolve sponsored positions against organic value, and return decision identifiers together.

advertiser operations

Need campaign management, advertiser billing, or auction workflows? Keep those requirements explicit. Gortex currently fills sponsored slots deterministically; live auctions remain on the roadmap.
# 03 / evaluation

Turn your shortlist into one measurable evaluation.

Bring one surface, your candidate contract, and the outcomes that matter. Evaluate the full request path before widening traffic.

01

define the boundary

Identify what stays: retrieval, eligibility, rendering, campaign operations, and analytics.

02

compare decisions

Run supplied candidates through Gortex beside your current path. Inspect ordering, sponsored slots, and identifiers.

03

measure live outcomes

Test relevance, conversion, sponsored revenue, latency, and fallback behavior on controlled traffic.

# 04 / questions

Before you switch, clarify the scope.

What does Gortex replace in my existing stack?

Gortex can replace the decision layer that orders supplied candidates and fills sponsored positions. Your application still owns candidate retrieval, eligibility checks, rendering, and outcome measurement. Scope the replacement around one surface before changing production traffic.

Does Gortex generate recommendations from my entire catalog?

Gortex ranks candidates your application supplies. It currently uses calibrated linear scoring rather than training recommendation models from historical interactions. If you need learned candidate generation, keep or evaluate a recommendation service for that job.

Can I evaluate Gortex alongside my current provider?

Yes, through your application integration. Map eligible candidates into Gortex's request contract and compare decisions in shadow mode first. Then measure relevance, conversions, sponsored revenue, latency, and errors on controlled live traffic with your existing path available as fallback.

Is Gortex available for production evaluation?

Gortex is in invite-only private beta. Request beta access to discuss your surface, traffic, required controls, deployment requirements, and commercial terms. Confirm production commitments during scoping; there is no unrestricted self-service trial promised here.

# 05 / next step

Already have the candidates? Evaluate the decision.

Rank eligible items, resolve sponsored positions, and trace the result in one response. Bring your requirements and scope Gortex around the surface you want to improve.
